The property was leased for 3 lives to Philip Turner James surgeon of Hereford at a rent of £1 p.a. 2 capons at Pentecost and 10/- towards the land tax. The lease was assigned first to Isaac James, miller and then to Thomas Cummins to whom the Ecclesiastical Commissioners released the reversion in 1874.
