Sir Benjamin Samuel Phillips 1811 - 1889
Sir Benjamin Samuel Phillips , Knt. Educated at Neumegen's school at Highgate and Kew. Fancy goods importer and warehouseman in Newgate st., in the City of London. Lord Mayor of London 1865, Knight Alderman (1871). He was a life member (from 1880) of the council of teh United Synagogue.
