Also lands in Burbage, unspecified. --------- See http://www.burbage-wiltshire.co.uk/historic/stibbbakehouse.htm ...In 1726 the property was leased to Anthony Bathe, a yeoman of Purton and it seems that by 1739 the property (always referred to in these documents as Motson's Farm) had passed to the Bathe family. By 1792 Anthony Bathe had died and the family decided to sell their Burabge properties to the Earl of Ailesbury but it appears there was some doubt as to the family's right of ownership and council's opinion was sought. Fortunately for them all seemed to be in order and on 2nd may 1792 "a dwelling house formerly called Motsons and now the King's Arms" together with other properties and land changed hands for £2,050.
