Anthony (Tony) Harold Beale , Living in Canada (1998). Tony Beale was educated at Shrewsbury School in Shropshire, England. He emigrated to Canada in his late teens and worked in the bush in Northern Quebec, where he became fluent in French. He later joined the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps as an Officer. He had numerous postings including Eastern Canada and a United Nations posting to Egypt. He left the army after twelve years and having reached the rank of Captain. He was awarded the UN Peacekeeping Medal (UN-Egypt) for his service in Egypt. His next career was as an Investment Dealer for Dominion Securities, and later, Vice President of Burgess Graham Securities, then Vice President of Moss Lawson Securities. He was an expert in international affairs, speaking before government panels on occasion, and writing briefing papers for general distribution to his company's high profile clients. He was also instrumental in setting up a Business Report which was broadcasted on a classical radio station. He quickly became known as "The Voice". Tony Beale loved stamp collecting, gardening and building stone walls.
