Thomas Bell c. 1797 - 1854
Thomas Bell , 3rd son. originally from Ulster, of Bellview, Braidwood, New South Wales, Australia, R.N. Surgeon who accompanied Col. Perry on the Fury to the North Pole on his 3rd Expedition. He accompanied convict ships 6 times to Australia. He was succ. by his son Francis Bell (ca.1837-post/ca.1883). Admitted a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1825. It was to Braidwood, N.S.W. (firstly Bell View, later Bondoura") , to his widowed sister, that Charles Fowke (1805-82) and his family, came to, settled, on having emigrated from England in 1865. He died insolvent.
