George Clive , of Wormbridge, Herefords., M.P. Bishop's Castle, 1763-9. Acceded Mountclave, Roehampton in 1763. He accompanied his cousin [Missing XREF c-clive10415] to India in April 1754. Joined Goslings bank. to India in 1755, in family of Rbt Clive, by 1757 is an army agent getting a fortune of £15-20,000. Returned home in 1760 and joined Gosling as a partner, till his death. Lots of "splitting" of EICo stock for Clive. He dealt with money coming home from Carnac, Call, Turner, Swinton, Gregory and Dr Fullarton who promised to do business with Gosling.
