Simon James Rowley Durran , of Kensington, London, political pamphleteer, etc. 1939. Attended Eaton House School which was evacuated to Haines Hill, Berks. There was a production of Wind in the Willows at the school and Simon appeared as a weasel or ferret and as a rabbit. George B.C. Leman was head of the school - Simon's future father-in law.
