, A Protestant upholsterer of York. In 1735 his wife and their 2 children were presented as papists in the parish of St. Michael Spurriergate. He was Chamberlain (1737), Sheriff (1751), Alderman (1754), Lord mayor (1756 and 1769). After his remarriage in 1770(?), he sold his business in Stonygate and retired to Manchester.
