He devised property, mostly in farms, in Ulceby, Kirmington, Calceby, Addlethorpe, Trusthorpe and Mablethorpe, as well as a messuage in Hull and land at Skirlaugh in Yorkshire, among his sons and daughters and to his wife. His sister Anne's cash book has survived which records her investments in mortgages and bonds, including some for the East India company and Black Sluice drainage! from 1743-73 when her affairs were wound up by her nephews David Field clerk already mentioned and Jonathan Field of Lincoln of the senior branch of the family."
