, CILGERRAN From From Lewis' Topographical Dictionary of Wales (1833) "There are three mansions in the parish, namely, Glandovan, the seat of Abel Anthony Gower, Esq.," Pigot & Co. South Wales directory for 1844 Cardigan with the village of St Dogmells and Neighbourhoods Gentry & Clergy ... * Gower, Abel Anthony Esq; Kilrhue * Gower, Abel Lewis Esq; Castle malgwyn * Gower, Robert Frederick Esq; Glandovan etc.. However, he was dead by 1844, so either the directory wasn't up to date, or else they are listing AA Gower's newphew who would have been 9 years old. dsp
