William (Bill) Hollond 1750 - 1836
William (Bill) Hollond , youngest son. Educ. Cheam, Writer 1766, Chief of Dacca Council of Revenue in 1780. In the service of the East India Company Civil Service in Bengal. Of Grosvenor Place, London. Other issue. Best friend of Francis Fowke, Resident of Benares. He came home, rich in 1783 and settled in Mayfair. He brought his two "white and brown" illegitimate children and also took charge of Francis Fowke's Indian born illegitimate child, William. He had a number of children by Harriet Pope before 1796. He had two white children and three illegitimate mixed race children.
