Sir John Hussey 1465 - 1537
Sir John Hussey , of Sleaford. He married (1) Margaret Blount Abt. 1493, daughter of Simon Blount and Ellinor Daubeny. She was born 03-Oct-1474 in Swanswick, Somerset, England, and died Bef. 1509. He married (2) Ann De Grey Abt. 1509 in Sleaford, Lincs, England, daughter of George De Grey and Catherine Herbert. She was born Bet. 1490 - 1500 in Ruthyn, Denbigh, Wales, and died Abt. 1545. Sir John Hussey was made chief betler of England by King Henry VIII, and summoned to Parliament by he same Monarch as " Baron Hussey of Slaford", in Lincs: but engaging in the insurrection of 1537, he was beheaded at Lincoln and his manor of Slaford (Sleaford), and other estates amounting to £5,000 a year confiscated.
