Henry Samuel King , JP of Manor House, Chigwell, Essex. Bookseller (1851). Banker (1871). A bookseller of Brighton, whose bookselling establishment was later carried on there by Treacher & Co. his partner, George Smith. married Elizabeth, sister of Ellen and daughter of John Blakeway. Later of the banking business, Henry S. King & Co. (est. 1868). He had taken over the banking and India agency work of Smith Elder & Co, booksellers, stationers, East India agents, shippers, and bankers.
