Arr: Lt H S K Pechell Artillery on sick leave from Neemuch. Lt A Billamore , Artillery to join from Nuggur. Lt C E Hanbury Artillery , Cadet S H Burnes, Cadet John McK Hartigan , Cadet R M Chamber all to join Infantry from England. Cadet R May Cavalry to join from England. Departure. Captain J T Annesley pension paymaster on duty to Panwell.. Assistant Surgeon R W James, Civil Surgeon on duty to Dhoolia. Lt A G Shortt , Assistant Political Agent on duty to Kattiwal. Brevet Major H Gibbard attached to Belgaum. --- Nov 23 1858 Lt G R Rooke has been cashiered by sentence of a court martial a t Peshawur which found him guilty in August last in a state of intoxication at a theatre performance in the Barracks of the 81st Regt, he being at the time on duty of station Subaltern Officer of the day. The court recommended mercy in consequence of his youth and inexperience but Lord Clyde refused to entertain this recommendation on the grounds that it would make it impossible to punish others in the future if he was allowed leniency. - Born: 1834 | Baptised: Bix, Oxfordshire, , England 15th Sep 1834
