Thomas Prendergast 1807 - 1886
Thomas Prendergast , Late Madras Civil Service (India) (1881) 2nd son. nominated a writer (EIC) on 23rd June 1826.. Collector and magistrate at Rajahmundry until reitrement on Annuity Fund in 1859, when he returned to England and settled in Cheltenham. He became totally blind but continued to devote himself to literary work and invented what he called "The mastery System" of learning language.
