Braden (Bobby) M. Robertson c. 1900 - ante 1945
Braden (Bobby) M. Robertson , formerly of Philedelphia, of Scottish descent, Merchant trader. The story goes, that he was part of a plot to blow up the Japanese flagship which was in Shanghai harbour. He was blown up by his own bomb. Sabotage was suspected. His son's marriage record give his name as Braden M. Robertson, but family lore says he was named Charles (Bobby). Is his name Charles Morgan Robertson, father Andrew Robertson? In this connection we would also like to congratulate this Broadcasting Station, as well as Station XQHB, run by Mrs. Robertson at 274 Rue Maresca, on the valuable service they have rendered the community by broadcasting free of charge personal and business messages at a time when it has been practically impossible for people to get in touch with their friends, relatives or business associates through any of the usual channels. Daily these messages have been sent out, and it must have proved of the greatest comfort and help to many to receive them during this time of unprecedented trouble.
