Rev. Charles Smith Royds , M.A., of Christ's College Cambridge. . Haughton, 1851: The Rectory, valued in K.B. at ?9. 1s. 3d., and now at ?414, is in the patronage and incumbency of the Rev. C.S. Royds, M.A., who has a good residence, built in 1804. The tithes have been commuted for ?800 per annum. Haughton, 1900: the chancel, rebuilt in the Gothic style of the early 13th century as a memorial to the Rev. C.S. Royds, late rector, and Mary Anne his wife, by their eight surviving children, has been lengthened 9 feet and the eastern triplet filled with stained glass, the gift of Mr. E.W. Greene.
