, Butcher (1841,51). Methodist. Tanner. Amongst other things (Cattle Dealing, Butchering, Inns, Slaughterhouses), he owned a Tannery at Meanwood. Samuel became a Conservative member of Leeds City Council in 1852, died in 1858, and is buried in Meanwood cemetery.
