John Robert Tennant 1817 - 1894
John Robert Tennant , of Chapel House, and Kildwick Hal.. J.P. and D.L., Capt. 3rd West Yorkshire Militia. s.p. It is probably he who in 1853 gave some of the stained glass windows in the Church of St. Mary, Coniston with Kilnsey, Wharfedale, Yorks. Magistrate and farmer of 110 acres (1851). Landed proprietor (1861). JP (1891). His diaries 1847-73 survive in the Yorkshire Archaeological and Historical Society.
