Sir John Edward Power Wallis , Kt. (cr.1912), P.C. (cr.1926), of Romangruis, Menton, France, formerly of India, member of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council (1926), etc., educ. Ushaw (entered 29 May 1873, aged 11. placed in elementary class IV. He is the 339th pupil to be registered at the school. ) (Ushaw Moor St. Joseph's Roman Catholic School, Darlington, co. Durham closed before 1906.), 1883 11 January. John Edward Power Wallis admitted to membership of the Middle Temple. Described as being "from Downside College, Bath" and "eldest son of John Edward Wallis of Alexandria, Egypt, Judge in the Mixed Tribunals." Pays an entrance fee of 40 pounds, six shilling and threepence.
