Rev. Ellis Price (Pryce) c. 1673 - 1762
Rev. Ellis Price (Pryce), MA from Christ Church, Oxford, vicar of Holywell, vicar of Cilcain, rector of Ysgeifiog (Skiviog) for almost 60 (58) years from 1704 to 1768. Eliseus Price, A. M. Feb. 1711. Collated to Skyviog July 4th, 1704. Ellis Price was recommended to the college by Sir Roger Mostyn, baronet, and, excepting John Humphreys, was the only incumbent who was not a fellow of Jesus College. See page 408/9 of The National Library of Wales Journal - xxII, although I believe the Mostyn family outline to be wrong. He owned a first edition copy of Paradise Lost. Mentioned in thr will of John Thomas in Oct 1695 with John Price as scholar Christchurch and John as Guardian Talwern
