(fees and other terms may apply) Visit Partner Site ENGLAND AND WALES CENSUS, 1851 ------------ Poss. 10 Apr 1861:- I Joze Antonio Gonðcalves Oliveira a Portuguese Citizen now residentin the City of London son of Lucao Gonðcalves and Maria Jose Native of Chaves in Portugal being in perfect health and in the full enjoyment of my mental faculties of my spontaneous and free will make with my own hand the present Testament and Declaration of my last Will I declare that I was born and have lived and hope to live in the Roman Catholic Apostolic Religion I declare that I am a Bachelor was never married and that I have not any natural Children moreover that my Parents and Grandfather and Grandmother having long since departed this life I have neither Ancestors nor Descendents living. 1st. I bequeath to Francisco Iguacio Van Zeller Portuguese Consul in London the sum of Five hundred pounds Sterling. 2nd. I bequeath to Geo, A. Butt my Clerk for many years the sum of Five hundred pounds Sterling. 3rd. I bequeath to Louis Pereira now living in Calcutta the sum of Five hundred pounds Sterling. 4th. I bequeath to Mrs, Ann Souton at this time residing with me at No. 42 Ordinance Villa Ordinance Road St. Johns Wood the sum of One thousand pounds Sterling. 5th. I bequeath all the furniture and effects that are extant in the house No. 42 Ordinance Villa Ordinance Road St. Johns Wood to Mrs, Ann Souton Widow who will order them to be sold receiving the proceeds thereof or will retain them should she be desirous of contiuing to live in the house after my Executors have paid all the debts contracted with the costs of the expenses of the house in which we reside that there may be to pay as well as the rent of the said house which in like manner shall be paid by my Executors up to the end of the term of the notice which shall be given after my decease. 6th. I bequeath to Mrs. Savill at the present time resident I believe in the house of Mrs. Edwards Elm House Upper Edmonton the sum of fifty pounds Sterling. 7th. I bequeath Francisco Antonio Pedrozo d'Albuquerque the sum of One thousand pounds sterling in order for this sum to be deposited in some Institution or Company that may allow interest which accumulation of the aforesaid interest together with the principal of the One thousand pounds sterling is to be for the benefit of his son and my Godson the whole of which the latter shall receive when he has attained the lawful age of twenty one years. 8th. I bequeath to Francisco Gomes d'Oliveira resident by last advices in Pernambuco the whole residue that may remain of my property after my debts and bequests to the persons above mentioned shall be paid. I appoint as my Executors Mr. Robert B. Dyass and in order to facilitate the prompt settlement and liquidation of my accounts I also appoint Mr. Geo. A. Butt in order for this latter to spare all the trouble he can to my old friend Mr. Robert B. Dyass which Gentleman has his own affairs to look after and that consequently his time must be then only taken up when it cannot be otherwise requesting him to excuse taking the liberty to appoint him Executor. And inasmuch as what I have stated is the expression of my last Will I request my said Executors that they do thus cause it to be fulfilled. London 10th of April 1861 J A G Oliveira
