c. 1568 - 1605
Tresham, eldest son. Brought up with his first cousin [Missing XREF c-catesby5015], he was dominated by him. Recruited into the "Gunpowder Plot" on 14 October 1605. He was asked for money and access to Rushton, one of his properties. He tried to dissuade the plotters from proceeding. They possibly no longer considered him as a member of the conspiracy since, no one warned him, when the plot was discovered. He was arrested, but died from natural causes before he could be brought to trial.
