Origins The Prime family is recorded in Barrington from 1596 and in Thriplow from 1538. It is thought that they descend from Huguenots who came from Flanders in the sixteenth century. Primes are recorded in Ypres from 1160 to 1680. Although it is thought that the two branches in Barrington and Thriplow are related, so far, no connection has been made. The Prime family of Orwell are descended from the Thriplow branch of the family. |
