, EIC. in India in June 1826, he served in the 30th Regiment of Native Infantry in the Bombay Presidency, as ensign from February 1826 and lieutenant from May 1829. The story darkens with a reference to Morgan's 'indisposition' in 1833. On 4 January 1834, sent on furlough, he sailed on the 'Duke of Northumberland', but was never to reach home. Morgan died at sea on 25 February 1834.
