William Ayres 1826 - 1918
William Ayres , He and his descendents were recorded by Alison Sutherland. Convicted of cattle duffing 4-1-1847. Convict # 2966. Arrived in Australia 7-8-1854. ship - Rimillies into Western Australia. Conditional pardon 10-5-1856 Lived in the Ararat district from 1859 to 1880's when he moved to Jindivick with his family of eight children. He bought property on the corner of West Jindivick Road & Telegraph Road. Here he was known as Daddy y all and he and his sons did much to clear the forest.
