Richard Carley 1829 - 1894
Richard Carley , Related? Beccles & Bungay Weekly News has the following entries which are almost certainly the same family:- 7.6.1859 - DEATH - 4 June after a short but severe affliction, aged 28 years, Ellen, widow of the late Mr Thos. Browne, and the eldest daughter of the late Mr Enoch Carley, both of Bungay. The deceased survived her husband scarcely six months. 11.7.1865 - DEATH - On the 17th May last, at Bombay, Naomi, wife of Mr Robert Carley, late of Bungay. 5.10.1869 - DEATH - On the 2nd September, at Boosahwul, East Indies, aged 35 years, Mr Robert J Carley, youngest son of the late Mr Enoch Carley, of Bungay. IGI has entries showing Richard Carley, baptised 22.3.1831 at Independent, Bungay - his parents being Enoch Carley married 26.2.1829 at St Marys, Bungay to Charlotte Enice Sayer. Enoch and Charlotte also had a son Robert J Carley. From this we can assume that Enoch Carley and Charlotte Sayer and had at least 3 children, Richard who married Sarah Abel, Robert J who married Naomi, and Ellen who married Thomas Browne.
