Henry St. George Caulfeild , Issue.On his arrival in Ceylon in 1870, worked on the Ancoombra coffee plantation for a year. It is/was situated five miles from Matelle which is 15 miles from Kandy. His cousin was the manager of the plantation at the time. He also later was in charge of a property called Holmwood. He writes, "The highest part of Holmwood ran up to 5900 feet, and in front of my bungalow was the flashing face of Kirigalpotte, or Milk-White Rock, rising magnificently to 7836 feet in height. 1878 Ceylon General Directory shows: Caulfeild, Henry St. Geo. - Planter - Holmwood, Lindula
