William Dashwood Fane , admitted to Lincoln' Inn in 1838 and called to the Bar in 1841. In practice as a conveyancer and equity draftsman until 1856 when he became Legal Assiatant at the Board of Trade. After his marriage they moved from 7 Norfolk Cres, Hyde Park to Norwood Park, Southwell, Notts., where they lived until 1875.. Then they moved to Melbourne hall, Derbys. After the deaths of his brother Harry and cousin Col. F.A. Fane, who had been living at Fulbeck, he moved there.
