He discusses the fact that William Hughes has been kept from possession of Marian Newydd and blames it on William Hughes. Sir William Hughes scarcely waited till his mother was buried before filing a bill in Chancery against him. Also adds that he is owed interest from a mortgage on the estates of Plas coch and Brynddu, and that for 8 years his daughter has not received a legacy of £200 due to her from Mr. Hughes, after the death of his brother John Hughes whose funeral expenses he discharged himself.
