, 1881 census, head of the (boarding) school at Bell Farm. There were 13 boarders there for the census. Head of Classical School (1891). On a website dealing with pubs:The area outside the precincts of Windsor was mainly that of farmland with various hamlets. The area known as Clewer as against Clewer Village boasted only one beer seller, a Mr Henry Thwaites who ran the Criterion in Clewer Green. Bell Farm, Bell Lane, Eton Wick, Windsor, Berkshire, SL4 6LH Bell Farm may date from the 15th century. It was enlarged by the Bell family in the 16th and 17th centuries. Eton Wick can trace its history at least as far as the 13th century and its oldest house, Bell Farm, dates from about 1370. T
