At the 1851 census, she was recorded at 4 High St., in New Windsor, a visitor (unmarried), at the home of the Oxleys. Ref. HO107/1695 folio 359 18. the 1861 census records her visiting 47a Welbeck st., Cavendish the head of household being Mary A. Perreira, the Lady superior of the house. This must be some quite of convent or nunnery. the nuns are descibed as Sisters of Mercy.
