Thomas Stanhope Hollond , of Clifton, Bristol, co. Somerset, formerly of Chateau le Valliere & Viviers de Laudes, France, formerly in the service of the Hon. E. India Co. - Writer (1791), Assistant to Revenue Collector at Mooreshedabad, etc. Burke's LG 1937 ed., says d.s.p.? Baptism: N/2 Vol. 1 Folio 758 Wikipaedia states:The Chãateau de Vaujours is a ruined castle from the 12th and 15th centuries, located in the commune of Chãateau-la-Valliáere in the Indre-et-Loire dâepartement of central France. It was part of the seigneurie (manor) of Chasteaux-en-Anjou, the future Chãateau-la-Valliáere.... In 1815, it was sold to Thomas Stanhope-Holland who used it as a quarry.
