, Frederick, 9th Earl of Cavan, was a member of the Home Rule party and was M.P. for South Somerset 1885-1892. He was made a Knight of St Patrick 3rd November 1894. The Earls of Cavan had only an Irish title and could not sit as Peers in the British House of Lords. The 9th Earl was born in 1839 and died in 1900. The present Earl is the 12th and resides in England. Oliver Lambert the first Lord Lambert had been senior Butcher and Supplier of meat to the Army in Queens County.
