Dr. Charles Morgan formerly Gould 1726 - 1806
Dr. Charles Morgan formerly Gould, elder son. judge advocate, judge marshall of the forces, sworn of the privy council, kinghted in 1779, created a baronet 15 Nov 1792. He assumed, in conformity with the testamentary injunction of his brother-in-law, the surname and armorial bearings of Morgan of Tredegar. He represented the county of Brecon in three Parliaments, retiring in 1806, the year of his death. cf DNB
