Plaintiff Robert Power Jun(io)r of Pembroke Place in the City of Dublin Defendant And the Act of the thirteenth & fourteenth Victoria chapter twenty nine In the Court of the Exchequer Joseph Henry Cowan of Eyrecourt(?) in the County of Galway Esq. agreed fifty (50) years & upwards the Pl(aintif)f in this cause maketh oath and said that this Deponent by the name of Joseph Henry Cowan of Eyrecourt in the County of Galway Esq. did on the twenty fourth (24) day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty one (1851) obtain a judgment in her Majesty's Court of Exchequer in Ireland against the Defendant in this cause by the name and description of Robert Power Jun(io)r of Pembroke Place in the City of Dublin Esq. for the sum of one thousand one hundred pounds (1,100) sterling besides three pounds three shillings for costs as by the Records of the s(ai)d Court may fully appear This Deponent further saith that to the best of his knowledge information & belief the s(ai)d def(endan)t in this (illegible) is at the time of Swearing this Affidavit seized or possessed of or has disposing power which he may without the assent of any other person exercise for his own benefit over certain lands tenenments hereditaments and premises hereinafter ment(ione)d that is to say the lands of Gortnamanagh West situate in the Barony of Loughrea Parish of Kilchrest & County of Galway Deponent further saith that the sum of five hundred fifty three (553) pounds three (3) shill(in)gs so secured by the s(ai)d judg(men)t as afor(sai)d still remains justly due & owing to this Deponent over and above all just & fair allowances & that s(ai)d judg(men)t is still in full force vigor virtue and effect in law Sworn before me at the Law Exchequer Office in the County of the City of Dublin this Twentieth (20) day of January one thousand eight hundred and fifty two (1852) and I know the Deponent J.H. Cowan P McMahon Joseph Henry Cowan Esq. for the pl(aintif)f Received 20th January 1852 P McMahon ------------ May 14, 1857 (Registry of Deeds) John Murray of number ten Westmoreland Street in the County of the City of Dublin Solicitor Plaintiff Robert Power Junior of Pembroke Place in the County of Dublin Esquire Defendant And the Act of the thirteenth and fourteenth Victoria Chapter twenty nine In the Queen's Bench John Murray of number ten Westmoreland Street in the County of the City of Dublin Solicitor the Plaintiff in this cause Maketh oath and saith that deponent by the name and description of John Murray of number ten Westmoreland Street in the County of the City of Dublin Solicitor did the fourteenth (14) day of May one thousand eight hundred and fifty seven and in or near as Easter Term the said year one thousand eight hundred and fifty seven obtain a judgment in Her Majesty's Court of Queen's Bench in Ireland against the Defendant in this cause by the name and description of Robert Power Junior of Pembroke Place in the County of Dublin Esquire for the sum of six hundred pounds sterling debt besides three pounds one shilling and eleven pence costs as by the records of said court may appear and which sums are the debts and costs secured by said Judgment and Deponent further saith that to the best of his knowledge and belief the said Robert Power Junior the Defendant in this suit is at the time of swearing this affidavit seized or possessed at law or in Equity of or having disposing power which he may without the consent of any other person exercise for his own benefit over certain lands tenements hereditaments premises hereinafter mentioned that is to say All Those and Those the town and lands of Gortnamanagh West situated lying and being in the Parish of Kilchrest Barony of Loughrea and County of Galway Sworn before me this 14th day of May 1857 at the Queen's Bench Offices Inns Quay in the County of the City of Dublin and I known the deponent Thos. Byron 14th May 1857 John Murray Attorney Plaintiff in person 10 Westmoreland Street ---------------- March 12, 1858 (Registry of Deeds) To the Register appointed pursuant to act of parliament for the registering of deeds will and so forth in Ireland A Memorial of an Indented deed of Conveyance bearing date the Twelfth day of March one thousand eight hundred and fifty eight (March 12, 1858) and made between Robert Power Junior of Number twenty five (25) Pembroke Place in the County of Dublin Esquire of the one part and Robert Power of Number twenty five Pembroke Place aforesaid Solicitor of the second part whereby after reciting as therein is recited he the said Robert Power Junior for the cons(iderati)ons therein mentioned did thereby give grant bargain sell release and confirm unto the said Robert Power all that and those the lands of Gortnamanagh West situate in the parish of Kilchrest Barony of Loughrea and County of Galway containing four hundred and twenty six (426) acres two (2) roods and twenty two (22) perches statute measure or thereabouts more or less. To hold the same with the appurtenances unto the said Robert Power his heirs and assigns for ever and which said Deed of which the foregoing is a memorial and also said Memorial as to the execution thereof by the said Robert Power Junior is witnessed by Richard Tomnas Joyes of Capel Street and Christopher Healy of Philesboro Road both in the city of Dublin Robert Power Junior (signature) Signed and sealed by the said Robert Power Junior in the presence of us Now the above named Richard Thomas Joyes aged thirty (30) years and upwards Maketh Oath and Saith that he is a subscribing witness to the original deed of which the foregoing writing is a Memorial and also to the said Memorial and saith that he saw the said deed duly executed by the above named Robert Power Junior duly signing sealing and delivering said deed Saith that the name Richard Thomas Joyes subscribed as a witness to said deed and memorial respectively is his this deponent's proper name and handwriting and Deponent saith that he delivered said Deed and Memorial to P.V. FitzPatrick Esq. assistant Registrar at the Registry Office in the city of Dublin on the sixnteenth (16) day of March one thousand eight hundred and fifty eight at near to the hour of two o'clock in the afternoon of the said day Sworn before me this 16th day of March 1858 Robert Power Sol(icitor) 11 Capel Street
