, entered HEIC service in Madras in 1723 as a seafaring man of the Bengal marine service and returned home to England in 1726, when he lived at Hatton Garden. Appointed a Writer by the Madras Government in 1843. He may have been a diamond merchant. Bob Fowke writes he was a sea captain and then a diamond merchant.
