Robert Cecil , MP in 1881 at age 18. Member of Privy Council 1591. By 1596, appointed the Queen's Secretary. When his father died, he officially took over many of his father's positions and managed to remain in favour when James I came to power. In 1607, he was appointed Lord Treasurer as well as Chief Secretary.
