Lt.Col. John Power , (but for the 1688 "outlawry" & the 1641 "attainter" on his father Piers Power (+ post/1641), would have succ. 1704 his 1st cousin-once-removed James Power, 3rd Earl of Tyrone, etc.), Mayor of Limerick during the "Siege of Limerick, served King James II. in Ireland, thereafter (1693-1702) at the Court of St Germain, France, as Colonel Dublin Regt. of Foot, eventually receiving a Licence from Queen Anne to return to England. He was succ. by his son Henry (1699-1742). He built the house at Curraghmore in 1700.
