[1860, NIVER, Francis G., Orange Cty, NY, p.1057, Crawford, Federal Population Schedule, NY 1860, Federal Census Index, NY58745994]. censu says value of real estate $1000, of personal estate %100. Carpenter (1870) - census says value of personal estate is $200. Builder (1880). He is certainly Francis G. Niver listed in 1889, proprietor, at 25 Smith, Newburgh in 1889 and as gentleman at 15 Smith in 1891 and at 25 Smith 1892. (I am inclined to think the 15 Smith may be a mistranscription or misrecording which should say 25). In 1890 and 1891, John F. Tucker, fellow former owner (with John A. Mason who sold his share in 1890) of Daily Register; Moffat & Tucker was living at 25 Smith. In 1891 an F. Elwood Tucker, apprentice at register office was also living there.
